This is still one of the best articles I’ve read about the tyranny of choice, in my quest to better understand how we make decisions: You Choose (from The Economist).
Two key ideas:
1. Too much choice is demotivating.
2. The dangerous idea that the perfect choice exists.
This is part of a collection I called “Under 300” (words, that is). I’m using it to collect the ideas that help me improve my critical thinking and keep them from getting buried on social media and other places.
You can find the entire collection here.
