My experience has taught me that trends come and go, but a well-written blog article will always be a powerful way to reach your audience. I learned and mastered effective content creation and promotion by publishing hundreds of blog articles and I can do the same for you.
Here’s a quick overview of the project I’m most proud of: the Heimdal Security blog.
With the help of a small but driven team, I developed the blog from a few hundred monthly visitors to 150.000 unique visitors/month. All 100% organic, all done in-house, with no paid content promotion, no paid links, and very few tools.
Content marketing played an essential role in building the Heimdal Security brand and the company itself. Blog articles were the backbone of the content strategy we developed and implemented, helping Heimdal break through in the competitive information security industry.
Writing well researched, timely and relevant content, coupled with consistent promotion, outreach and community involvement contributed to the bottom line. Content marketing was the core lead generation channel for B2C sales, while B2B sales benefited tremendously from the visibility and authority it provided.
Through high-quality and 10x content, Heimdal Security became a strong advocate for cyber security education, its efforts recognized by industry awards, such as Most Educational Blog in 2016 at the 5th annual European Security Bloggers Awards or its nomination for Anti-Ransomware Solution of the Year at the 2017 Computing Security Awards.
From research to building the editorial plan, from content updates to on-page SEO, from MOFU to TOFU – Heimdal is where I mastered content marketing.
I’ll be forever grateful for the learning opportunities I had there, including building a small content team that provided everything the company needed for both its B2C and B2B operations. We shipped product content, white papers, website copy, translations, social media, print materials for events and more).
Because content marketing goes well beyond writing when it came to redesigning the blog I immersed myself in the project. I enjoy working with designers and developers to deliver memorable experiences for the audience that needs them and I’ve done it often in the past years.
Heimdal may be my most rewarding experience as a content marketer but it’s not the only one. I also wrote blog articles for:
- DefCamp, the biggest International Hacking & Information Security Conference in the CEE
- How to Web, the most important conference for tech companies and startup founders in the CEE
- TechHub Bucharest, the most active coworking space and community for tech entrepreneurs and startups
- CyberGhost VPN, one of the most used VPN service providers in the world
- My own blogs: in Romanian and English
- Two music blogs that sadly no longer exist and other projects which are no longer online but taught me plenty nonetheless.
If you’re wondering whether blogging can still work for your business in 2019, let’s talk. I will happily answer your questions and, if need be, articulate your content strategy.
Maybe you have too much on your plate and you need extra help to stick to your publishing schedule without compromising on quality.
Whatever your challenge may be, I’m here to help guide you to your best decisions when it comes to publishing new content that will educate your audience and smooth their way to becoming your customers.
Good to see you here!
