In the “I don’t actually care about growth” episode of his Company of One podcast, Paul Jarvis sums up much of what turned me to freelancing:
- I’d rather be working than delegating work.
- I’m better at working than delegating work.
- I work for myself because I can build my business around my life.
In each episode of the podcast, you hear Paul speaking from hard-earned experience.
He talks a lot about questioning his decisions, his standards, his expectations.
This is one of the most important habits I’ve observed in the people I learn from.
Today, Paul’s book, Company of One, launches.
I can’t wait to read it, to takes notes and especially to apply the ideas that fit my principles and my work.
You can get the book here.
Congrats, Paul! You’re one of the great ones!
This is part of a collection I called “Under 300” (words, that is). I’m using it to collect the ideas that help me improve my critical thinking and keep them from getting buried on social media and other places.
You can find the entire collection here.
